Our class has been working hard in science. We have been learning what motion is and experimenting with motion. We have learned what motion looks like on the playground, the word gravity and what it means, push/pull, what it means to lift weights, etc.
Also, we have had the opportunity for Mrs. Cronk to come visit from the Outdoor Discovery Center. She taught us about land and water. She did a fantastic job describing what our earth is made of. We sang a water cycle song together, saw a wonderful model of our land, and discussed why it is important not to litter. We observed how when it rains, the litter on our land runs into the water and makes our fresh lakes/rivers dirty. The kids were amazed how dirty these bodies of water got once the litter was mixed in. We discussed how important it is to clean up our earth. We split up into groups and helped clean up our very own playground! The kiddos were so happy to bring bags full of litter inside.
